All According to Plan. No, really. I meant to do that.

Aiden turned 12 yesterday! Amazingly enough, we've had two boys survive our parenting until they were old enough to ride in the front seat.

All he wanted for his birthday was to have his cousins over for a LAN party. We were able to beg, borrow, and connive to acquire enough electronic devices for a pretty cool setup.  I even surprised him with some friends from church!

This is just one of the rooms... ;) They eventually expanded into three.

All he asked for, in addition to the access to our house wifi and electricity and his Amazon wish list of over 100 items, was Brownie Waffles.

Apparently, in all of his perusing on Pinterest, Aiden had seen Brownie Waffles somewhere. How hard could that be? Rachel Ray says to just mix up the batter without water or milk and cook it on the waffle iron.

From Rachel Ray's website. Isn't that beautiful?

Cool.

I can do that.

Or maybe not.

The boys didn't complain. Even when I spilled a whole cup of milk on Aiden's plate, (and the table, the chair, the rug, the floor...), he thought it was wonderful. He didn't have to work so hard to get the milk and brownie flavors together.

I meant to do that.
